Astound’s fiber powered network is available in select locations with speeds up to 1500* Mbps. The use of optical fiber enables higher internet speeds than other forms of communication, such as copper wire, that drastically reduce bandwidth.
What is the difference between Astound and Spectrum internet?
One big difference is price.
Astound offers 300 Mbps internet at $20 per month and 1 gig for $45 per month, while Spectrum’s 300 Mbps plan is $39.99 per month or $49.99 per month. Spectrum has 1 gig for $59.99 per month or $69.99 per month.
In addition, Astound’s service includes WiFi equipment at no additional charge. Spectrum charges a $7 per month WiFi equipment fee for internet only; when bundled with mobile, there is no charge.
Finally, Astound’s installation fee is only $14.95, while Spectrum’s is $30.
