How to troubleshoot Astound WiFi?
If you are experiencing a slow or dropped WiFi connection, you can resolve most issues using these quick troubleshooting steps:
1. Check for Local Outages: Log into your MyAstound account or app to ensure there are no active service disruptions in your area.
2. Perform a Power Cycle (Hard Reset): Unplug the power cables from both your modem and WiFi router. Wait a full 60 seconds, then plug the modem back in first, followed by the router. Allow 2–3 minutes for the lights to stabilize.
3. Reduce Signal Interference: Ensure your router is elevated, placed in a central location, and kept clear of physical obstructions or electronic devices that operate on the same frequencies (like microwaves or baby monitors).
4. Use an Ethernet Cable: To determine if the problem is localized to your WiFi signal or the internet line itself, plug a computer directly into the modem using an Ethernet cable and run a speed test.
How do I update my contact information or payment method?
You can securely update your personal profile details and billing preferences online at any time.
1. Via MyAstound Account: Log into your profile at myaccount.astound.com or open the MyAstound mobile app. Navigate to the Profile or Billing tab to edit your phone number, email address, or link a new credit card/bank account.
2. Via Automated Phone System: Call 1-800-427-8686 and select the prompt for “Billing” to update your payment information over an encrypted, secure phone line.
Are there support options for Astound mobile services?
Yes, comprehensive support is available for mobile users.
