TV Everywhere / Mobile TV Access
You’ll need to change over your account login on your TV Everywhere services, to stream TV. There is no “Astound” listed on these platforms, you’ll need to choose “RCN” from the list and then use your MyAstound account login credentials. Follow the how-tos below:
Ultra TV Customers
As we changeover services to Astound, Video On Demand will be temporarily unavailable to a select group of customers as we transition the library and content to our On Demand platform.
This is a planned maintenance and necessary upgrade that must take place in order to deliver our On Demand library to Ultra TV customers. Look for updates here on progress.

New Business Email and IP Address
You’ll get a new astound.net email address and your existing WOW! email address will be forwarded to your new astound.net address for a period of time. Static IP addresses will change in some cases. We’ll be in touch with additional details and instruction.
New TV Experience
WOW! tv+ will be replaced with Astound TV– live TV, streaming apps and voice control, all together. Includes: a new channel lineup, new DVR and new equipment for WOW! tv+ residential customers. You’ll enjoy an expanded On Demand library!
New Residential Email Address
We will need to assign you a new @astound.net email address; rest assured, customers will keep all of their current emails.

Why were these areas of WOW! acquired?
Astound’s acquisition of WOW!’s Illinois and Indiana service areas will be joining the existing Astound system in Illinois, and acquisition of the Broadstripe powered by WOW! broadband network in Anne Arundel County, Maryland will be joining our existing Astound system in Maryland and metropolitan Washington, DC. Our robust fiber-rich network assets will allow us to deliver even more communications services to customers in the Chicagoland, Northwest Indiana, Evansville, and Anne Arundel County areas, offering both residential and business customers new products and services. Our immediate focus will be on continued excellence and customer service support. We also expect to leverage the best practices we offer today from our family of companies to continue to provide current customers with the best services possible.
What happened to RCN?
You may have previously seen our communications that RCN acquired the systems that support the WOW! and Broadstripe powered by WOW! service areas. RCN is becoming Astound Broadband powered by RCN. Our commitment to bring our customers exceptional care is still the same.
What is Astound Broadband?
We offer Astound Broadband services across the country and are the sixth largest telecommunications provider, serving eight of the top ten metro markets in the United States providing critical infrastructure to local communities. The company offers residential, business and enterprise class broadband Internet, telephone and cable TV services using their own fiber-rich network. Astound Broadband services are provided to over one million customers in California, Illinois, Massachusetts, Oregon, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, the DC metro area, and Washington State as well as in Indiana through WOW! powered by RCN and Anne Arundel County, Maryland through Broadstripe powered by RCN. The Astound Broadband name reflects both the evolution of the company as well as its vision for the future.
What does this mean for former WOW! customers in Illinois, Indiana, and Maryland?
All existing services and customer support will continue without interruption. RCN previously became your service provider** but communicated with you under the WOW! brand for a limited time as we complete the transition of operations to Astound. During this transition, customers continue to receive the same quality services that they enjoyed from WOW!. If any changes are made in the future, we will communicate them in advance.
Will there be any changes to the services provided?

Will Astound taking over WOW! cause my current package prices to go up or down?
We are committed to giving customers the best value and service. Our long-term focus is to introduce new offers featuring greater value and convenience for customers. Current package prices and promotions will remain the same and, if any changes are made in the future, we will communicate in advance. ***
How long will the transition take?
We want the transition to be as smooth as possible, so it will take several months for the transference of systems to occur. We will provide you with more information as we make progress.
Will WOW! customers continue to receive bills from WOW!?
Yes, WOW! customers will continue to receive bill statements and other communications using the WOW! brand during the transition period. Beginning in the second quarter of 2022, former WOW! and Broadstripe powered by WOW! customers will receive bill statements and other communications using the Astound brand. Rest assured that Astound Broadband is powered by RCN. If any further changes are made in the future, we will communicate in advance.
Will there be any changes to customer support?
We will maintain the same high level of support you have been enjoying. If any changes are made in the future, we will communicate in advance.

Do I need to change my autopay?
During the transition period, you do not need to do anything with your autopay. It will process on your scheduled date. No need to change or contact your bank/credit card company. If any changes are made in the future, we will communicate in advance.
What does this mean for WOW! business partners?
We have a best-in-class network of partners and look forward to welcoming WOW! and Broadstripe powered by WOW! partners to our network. Partners will realize several benefits as Astound expands on WOW!’s existing capabilities in the long-term, including the addition of advanced product offerings.
